Design Process
Initial Meeting:
The first meeting is by appointment with a designer to discuss the design process, design ideas and accessories offered. It is extremely helpful to come with the following:
· Floor plans or a rough sketch of room layouts including room dimensions, window locations and ceiling heights
· Inspiration Photos
· List of accessories or features you would like to include
· General ideas of appliances and where you want them located
· Budget Estimate
Preliminary Drawings & Estimate:
The designer will develop 3-D drawings and an estimate that best encompasses the information gained from the initial meeting. There are many variables that factor into estimating: wood species, door styles, construction type, accessories and hardware. Not all this information is necessary at this point; however, the more selections you can provide, the more accurate the estimate will be.
Engagement:
After you have decided to proceed, you will be asked to make a fifty percent down payment based on the initial estimate. Final pricing will be based on the final drawings and the actual product delivered.
Final Selections and Design:
The designer will assist you in finalizing selections of wood species, finishes, door and drawer style, construction type, accessories, hardware and countertops. To finalize your design, we will need to take final measurements of final stud walls in place. All appliance specifications and other pertinent information must be provided at this time.
Approval of Final Drawings & Pricing:
With custom cabinetry, your order is built specifically for you. Approval drawings will be sent only after all changes and adjustments have been made and the design is final. All drawings, disclaimers and purchase agreements will then be sent for electronic signature.
Production & Delivery:
Once the project is approved in its entirety, your designer can give you an estimated completion date. To obtain this date, we will need the following:
· Down payment has been received
· Drawings, selections & final pricing have been signed and approved
· All finish samples have been approved and returned to SFKB
The remaining balance is due upon receipt of cabinets.
