Specifications:
SFKB's custom cabinets are face frame constructed of select solid wood for durability, strength and beauty. The face frames are three-quarter inch thick with varying widths pending the application. The wood face frame pieces are pocket screwed and wood glued at each joint for strength, while being held in a framing machine to assure squareness.
The box of the cabinet is constructed with three-quarter inch thick birch veneered mdf (medium densified fiberboard). Three and a half inch stretchers on the top (located in the front and back) are used for added strength and provide a solid platform for countertop installation. The backs are quarter inch birch plywood. Base cabinets include a three-quarter inch thick by six inch tall nailer (located at the top) providing added strength for installation. Upper cabinets include two three-quarter inch by one inch solid wood nailers (located at the top and bottom) for installation. The face frames and boxes are joined together using premium wood glue and are hand clamped providing a superior bond.
Drawers are constructed with engineered half inch nine-ply birch plywood with dovetail joints in the front and rabbet joints in the back. Drawer slides are Blum Full Extension undermount slides. They feature a 75 pound load capacity and are designed with a self-closing action and closure control.
The doors are constructed of three-quarter inch solid wood frames and depending on the style will include either five-eighths inch or three-eigths inch solid wood panels. We have a variety of hinge types that are directly affected by the design of the cabinetry, standard half inch overlay, inset or full-overlay are all available.
Cabinets are available in many stain finishes, glazes and opaque finishes. Distressed and rubbed applications along with color matching is also available.
